Hello, welcome to our Chinese learning via skype. Learning a foreign language is not very easy, especially learning Chinese. But do not worry. Here, we just like friends, we can talk about our life, hobby favorite things and so on.
Chinese has something different with English. Such as we call dad's father and mom'father like grandpa. We call the father's father and mother's mother like grandma. However, in Chinese is different. We call our dad's father "爷爷(ye ye)", but we call our mom' father"外公(wai gong)". Besides, we call our dad'mother "奶奶(nai nai)", call our mom'mother "外婆(wai po)". Is it very interesting?
There are so many things we can talk about. For another example, like 你吃了吗? (Do have you ate? ) Not only ask you to have a meal, but also the beginning of conversation.

While learning Chinese Language via Skype, we should distinguish the usage of negative word between English and Chinese. Take “don’t” for a example, in English, we usually express the negative idea by the sentence “I don’t think you are right”. We never say “I think you are not right ”. But when you learn Chinese Language via Skype, we can not only use negative word in front, but also use in the back. I think it is important tip while learning Chinese language via Skype. By the way, when we translate the above English sentence into Chinese, we should put the negative word in the back in order to be better to express the English grammar, which is important when you learn Chinese Language via Skype .

Learn Chinese Language via Skype classes is more than a language learning experience. Do I have to know Mandarin to live in China, or could I survive with just English? You most definitely can live in China without even being able to speak a single word of it, but what is the point of living there then?
I have known a few people who cannot speak even a basic sentence, despite having lived in China for several years. They view of China and their ability to do anything is extremely limited. Worst of all, they depend so much on their coworkers or friends to do everything for them. Telling addresses, ordering food, looking for an apartment, going shopping for specific things they have to completely rely on the help of others to get it done. They are helpless, and hosestly it makes them look very selfish and ignorant.
Having said that though, if you arrive in China and are unable to communicate in the begining, people will understand your situation. But you should start learning the moment you arrive. Even better would be to develop a strong set of survial Chinese communication skills before you arrive. study online with our learn chinese language via Skype lessons , we should be able to help you out, even if you just take their free first lesson.

Learn Chinese language via Skype is fun. Do English speaking people living in China have Chinese names? Interesting question for any Skype Chinese classes. Well, here is what my friend says: As others have said, it depends on your situation in China. It also depends on your friends and fluency. And most of all.. quality varies (where's my crying/laughing face emoji?).
    Some examples:
•Some friends manufacture in China, so they only spend 25–50% of the year in China. No Chinese name necessary as the barely have roots.
•I have an acquaintance who named himself Wolf.. wolf.
•Many people will transliterate their name, e.g. Mark becomes 马克
•Some people get a two character name, but don't take a last name, since theirs doesn't work.
•I, personally, took a Chinese name (林娴悦)because my fiancé gave it to me. I took his last name because we will get married. (Btw, I gave him his English name, too.)

continued answer to the above question about names for learning Chinese language via Skype:In my experience, few foreigners receive full-on 3 character names, but who needs it anyway? Unless you're getting married to a PRC citizen, there's not much point.
And then, you must be careful about who you let name you..
Many have told me that my Chinese name is more aspirational than reflective of reality, but children are named at birth; do they grow into their names or does it change to suit them?
I’m fine with it, even if I'm not really not as 乖乖 in reality as my Chinese name might suggest.
Very fun perspective for those who learn Chinese language via Skype.

Top question for learn Chinese language via Skype lessons:Why is Japanese the only language to still use Chinese characters besides Chinese?Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese have absorbed many ancient Chinese loan words.
Since 15th century, Lots of new words was translated in to Chinese characters by both Chinese and Japanese. For example, 幾何(geometry) by Chinese and 哲学(philosophy) by Japanese.
So there are plenty of Chinese character words (かんご/한자어/Từ Hán Việt) in these three languages. No wonder some students say they see Chinese in other Asian languages when they learn Chinese language via Skype
However the homophones in Japanese are insanely common compared to Korean and Vietnamese.

Tips for character writing when you learn Chinese language via Skype online .What are the easiest ways to remember Chinese characters?
As Mandarin instructor and language enthusiast, I know memorizing the characters is a challenge. It’s estimated that you need to know 3,500 to 4,000 characters to be able to read at the same level as a high school-educated native Chinese speaker. That alone is why so many people never consider learning the language. Many people also give up, but it’s because they’re not learning the right way. Here are my recommendations for keeping those characters glued in your memory for those who learn Chinese language via Skype .

You’ll want to begin by learning some of the most basic Chinese radicals. Radicals are one of the building blocks of Chinese characters. They represent the meaning or pronunciation of a character. They’re sort of like Chinese root words. In this example, the red part is the radical. This is the radical for woman, and actually when it’s written alone it does mean “woman” literally. Here, however, it’s adjoined to another part of a character and ends up meaning “mother”. How about that? That should show you how useful knowing the radicals can be. They’re like hints, and once you know them you’ll be able to remember the meanings of characters better.

12.Flashcards: I recommend using handmade flashcards when you learn chinese language via Skype having online classes. Again, repetition is important. However, you might want to do that in conjunction with a program called Anki. Anki allows you to create digital cards that learn as you do. This means that the more familiar you are with a card, the less often you’ll see that card in the deck.

What culture shocks do you face coming to China for the first time?-A very good question fromTCH online students asked when we learn Chinese language via Skype.
Well, here is the answer from another students who also learn Chinese language via Skype with us. Let's share his story. Before I left to Beijing for my weekend trip, my friends from Macau & Hong Kong told me how air quality is going to be bad, smog everywhere, take a mask, etc., but when I went to Beijing, I saw bluest sky I have seen and air quality was excellent. When I showed some of my photos, no one would believe, then I saw an article in New York Times how china could change the climate and air quality if they want to. Day I visited Beijing is the same day OBOR (One Belt, One Road) was inaugurated (Week of May 10th) and I was told that all factories and other industries were shut down prior to that week as world leaders including Putin were in Beijing at the same time.

Many firms deliver a on-site price, while other people simply just choose to typical published price. If you wish the most beneficial services in addition to a lot fewer unawareness, put into effect a on-site price prior to enroll. Because of this you can also make guaranteed all people comprehends how you will wish ones woodwork rubbed or maybe pillows vacuumed.

Questions for Learning Chinese Language Via Skype:
Why are Chinese characters used over pinyin? Good question when students are learning Chinese Language Via Skype.why there was a need for Chinese characters if there is pinyin. By instinct I thought the answer was simple: pinyin only reflects the sounds of characters and thus cannot always deliver information accurately; many words can sound the same but mean different, hence written differently.

Questions for Learning Chinese Language Via Skype
Why are Chinese characters used over pinyin? (II)
But then she asked again in response to my answer when we learn Chinese Language via Skype and I was left quite speechless: but if that is the case how do you understand each other when speaking (since no written characters are involved in verbal communication)?

It made sense. Chinese people in a sense speak to one another in pinyin, and they communicate just fine. But though I could not come up with an explanation on the spot, I just knew that Chinese characters had to be necessary. Pinyin is definitely not enough.

Then I thought about it afterwards, and I finally understood why Chinese characters are absolutely necessary, without which not even verbal communication would work — pinyin is ambiguous and cannot work without heavy context. The reason people have little difficulty understanding verbal (pure pinyin) communication is because they already have the foundation in their heads, a database of Chinese characters to draw context from.
